I once met an R9 Warrior who used Tiger Stance over Frenzy/Rush because of double damage on Frenzy.
I almost died of laughter.

Yea, if all of you find a lack of diversity in HA or any PvP format in this game, feel free to:

1) sign off this forum for the first time in 3 months
2) DL / install GW Team Builder
3) Make a build

Just because people are running heroway or spiritway or whatever derivative of that, doesn't mean that the creative juices in HA aren't flowing. I've seen a wide variety of HA builds from the Arcane Langour / Black out sins - way, the many many many forms of derv spike (D/x and A/D variants), ranger spike, IV spike, Discord spike, SF spike, IV Balanced, all the different forms of Legoway, Tainted balanced, ele ball, smite ball, Hexway, Para spike, etc. etc. etc. YEA some of the builds are quite gimmicky but they are still outside of the box.

Honestly, I don't understand what you want here. You basically opened the Party search menu at god knows what time of day and say HAH LOOK I SEE 2 HEROWAY FORMING HA IS DEAD I THINK I'LL LET EVERYONE ON GURU KNOW THAT I THINK HA IS DEAD.

How to fix HA:

Don't give fame for first 1-2 maps in rotation, problem solved, all farming builds have no hope. GG

The problem with build diversity being so low, is that you only have at most 30-50 or so groups playing or forming at any time. This is a HUGE problem, because the meta will not shift with such a tinyplayerbase. And meta is somthing that pugs form. People will form what is easy, or what works best. And with such a small playerbase, there is very little incentive to change things up.

Put it this way, 1/3 play meta build A, 1/3 meta build B, 1/3 meta build C, and then the random 1% plays guild builds or random stuff. (all made up #s, but im making a point)

Say you are playing meta build A, you can crush build B with no effort whatsoever, but u die to build C unless you work your ass off.

So pretty much, if your good at your build.
You beat A most of the time
You crush B all of the time
And you beat C some of the time.

Ok, so say 15 teams are playing A, 15 teams are playing B, 15 C. Thats great right? Its still random what team you will bump into, but its easier to get a match against A and B, because there really arent to many Cs around.

But, say there were 300 teams playing at any given time. (think about prohpecies days when there were 9 international districts, and loads of country specific districts).
You still have the same probability of getting a match against any of the three types of meta builds. but, with 100 team Cs floating around. There is a much better chance you will pull multiple team Cs in a row, simply because there are more of them.

What happens now? People get fed up facing a certain type of meta build. THey start to tamper with thier meta builds, and eventually they design new builds. (which also happens to be easier to do when there are hundreds of players looking for a group)

Now all that is for the lower end players, who are stuck playing meta builds because they havent developed thier friends list, or just suck at networking with people.

Its much the same at the upper levels, when you are playing in guild/friend/alliance teams. And you are running something nonmeta. These players generally look at the map objectives first, decide what basic tools they need, and then look at the meta, and design thier build that incorportates the tools they need into the build itself.
